Description ================================ All of the included weapons are 1-hit kill weapons, and all have unlimited ammo. Standard Instagib and Zoom Instagib can get really boring sometimes, or maybe the Zoom feature isn't the end-all-be-all to you, but maybe you also don't enjoy normal weapons play... so what's the answer? Professional Zoom Instagib. PZIG, for short, provides some flexibility to as many players as possible when it comes to the game of Instagib. It features a fully configurable scoring system that allows you to set the amount of points for normal kills, headshots and more. Now, before you gawk at the thought of having FOUR Instagib weapons in your inventory, please read their descriptions below, which lists their advantages and disadvantes. >>> Pro Zoom Shock Rifle This is basically the same as the default Instagib rifle, except that the beam looks cooler. PROS: - Rate of fire is 1.1, which is the default for regular instagib (rate of fire, or ROF, is the amount of time in seconds between shots). The lower the number is for ROF, the faster the weapon can shoot. - Secondary fire is still the ZOOM function. CONS: - You are not anonymous when you fire the weapon, meaning that if you're on the red team, then you fire a red-tinted beam, and if you're on blue, then you fire a blue-tinted beams. NOTE: these are not the same beams that are used in regular Instagib. They act the same, but appear a little more up-to-date. >>> Pro Combo Shock Rifle This is the same weapon as the Instagib Zoom Shock Rifle, except that it's secondary fire shoots a plasma ball. Care has been taken to reduce plasma spamming as much as possible (by reducing the plasma ball's ROF), without making it impossible to to hit a combo. This was a tricky balance, and we think we did a pretty good job of evening it out. PROS: - Rate of fire is 1.1, which is the default for regular instagib. - Ability to shoot a projectile (plasma ball) and do devastating combos. CONS: - The ROF for the plasma ball has been slowed down from the original shock rifle to reduce spamming. Choose your shots carefully when using the secondary fire... you can't fire another plasma ball OR the secondary fire until the ROF for the plasma ball has elapsed. - You are not anonymous when you fire the weapon, meaning that if you're on the red team, then you fire a red-tinted beam, and if you're on blue, then you fire a blue-tinted beams. NOTE: these are not the same beams that are used in regular Instagib. They act the same, but appear a little more up-to-date. >>> Pro Lightning Gun PROS: - Zoom on the secondary fire - Headshots. Doesn't really help when you get a headshot, since it's all instant-kill, but some of us love the glory of a head on fire. With PZIG scoring on, you can get extra points for a headshot. - On rare occassions, you may be able to kill more than one opponent in one shot due to the Lightning Gun's arcs. - Firing this gun leaves you somewhat anonymous... that is, you cannot tell which team the player is on by the color of his beam. In Instagib, as any veteran already knows, this can be invaluable. In regular Instagib, your beam color often gives you away, because people tend to ignore the beams colors of their team. With the Lightning Gun, you remain anonymous is this regard. CONS: - Unlike the two Shock Rifles, which have a rate of fire of 1.1, the Lightning Gun has a much slower rate of fire of 1.6. Doesn't sound like a big difference, but wait until you're frantically hitting your fire key and nothing happens. >>> Pro Gauss Rifle All new weapon that can fire through walls! PROS: - Primary fire is like that of the shock rifles, except it also hits targets behind walls. - Secondary fire is a fast-toggling scope. CONS: - The ROF of 1.4 is slower than the PZIG Shock Rifles. - The scope is less powerful than the other scopes. - You are not anonymous when you fire the weapon, meaning that if you're on the red team, then you fire a red-tinted beam, and if you're on blue, then you fire a blue-tinted beams. NOTE: These beams are unique, so people will know exactly what weapon you are using. Configuration ================================ Any combination of the PZIG weapons can be used. The PZIG Scoring system can be turned on/off and configured: - Points for a Normal Kill - Points for a Headshot - Points for a Shock Ball Kill - Points for a Shock Combo Kill - Points for a Gauss Kill behind a wall The amount of teammate boosting can be changed. Also, the fire rates of the weapons and the speed of the Combo Rifle Ball can be tweaked. To reset to all of the default values, delete the ProZoomInstagib2004.ini file in your UT2004\System directory. Thanks To ================================ - God - Epic and Digital Extremes for making such an awesome game! - [LGUT]TBone for making the UT2003 version (although he could have made the class names a bit friendlier, grr) - Stan R. for beta testing and suggestions - community for beta testing I used the WOTgreal editing program to make this mutator. I recommend it to anyone that makes mods/mutators. Many thanks to the author for making it and offering it to the community for free! http://www.wotgreal.com/ ================================ Unreal Tournament 2004 (c)2004 Epic Games Inc, Inc.
